The history...

Tony set up the business 23 years ago. He had been manager of the former leading edge Keighley salon, Headline, for two years when he opted to go it alone. "I wanted to find out if the clients were coming for me or for the name Headline," says Tony. No worries there then. Aged 23, the man who began his career by sweeping barbers' floors when he was 12, opened his first hairdressers at 8, Henry Street to a full column of people. He has never looked back. "It's my proud boast that not a single customer has decided to go elsewhere since then," he states.

The romance...

Tony met Nuala, a top stylist at former high-end Keighley hairdressers Wavelength, in 1986 and they were married the following year. "It was just one of those wonderful things," says Nuala. They now have two children, Josh, age 18 and Georgina, 15. The couple set about building the business together and in 1996, moved across the road to the current premises. And yes - they do sometimes do each other's hair in the morning before they come to work!
