The Streets Ahead TeamAbout Us

Streets Ahead is owned by husband and wife duo, Tony and Nuala Walsh, of Silsden. At its newly refurbished salon on Henry Street in Keighley, it employs 11 advanced hairdressers, three trainees and a secretary who all work towards making sure hundreds of men and women from all over the world have the best hairdos!

The ethos...

Tony and Nuala, now 47 and 41 respectively, like to run their business like a family. Their warm approach to both staff and customers has been rewarded with unprecedented loyalty over the years. Not only do they have customers travelling from far and wide to have their hair cut at Streets Ahead, but several of the 15-strong team of staff have been with them for more than a decade. Tony says: "If we look after clients and staff as a family, then we have happy people all round!" Despite the relaxed approach, Tony and Nuala run a highly efficient operation which includes constantly updating themselves on the latest developments in the industry.

The service...

In addition to the spanking new salon itself, clients are treated to excellent customer service at all times. No less than 12 types of tea and five kinds of coffee are on offer - and of course chocolate is served with every cup. The salon loves fresh flowers - and adorns every refreshment tray as well as the reception with some stunning and exotic arrangements. And another big bonus at Streets Ahead is its big parking facility - there's room for 14 cars at the front and back of the building.
